Welcome message from the Director of Severance Robot & MIS Center

Welcome to Severance Robot and Minimally Invasive Surgery Center.

Since its opening in 2008, Severance Robot and MIS Center has provided various educational opportunities for more than 2,000 trainees from 38 countries. We have worked together seamlessly with Yonsei University Health System-affiliated institutions to educate future academicians and potential leaders and disseminate new knowledge.

The center expanded its training and researching capabilities since transferring to Avison Biomedical Research Center in 2013. Now we are possible to provide optimal training environment equipped with da Vinci Xi from Intuitive Surgical, Revo-i from Meere company, laparoscopic units etc. for training purposes. We support tailor made education by surgeon’s experience though various training programs such as Case Observation, Surgical Workshop, Simulator training and so on.

In addition to systematic programs, we have done comprehensive work carried out or supported by major training infrastructure through attending clinical trials and cooperating with relevant academia and industry to develop robotic surgical equipment.

By strengthening our position as the best institution in robotic surgery training, we also have collaborated with global companies like Intuitive Surgical, Johnson and Johnson Medical, Meere Company after signing an MOU. Now our outstanding performances set a new benchmark for robotic surgery throughout the world.
