Pediatric Dentistry(Preceptorship)
Program Overview
The Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Yonsei University Dental Hospital offers a Preceptorship Program designed for both domestic and international dental professionals who are interested in pediatric dental care, special needs dentistry, and related clinical or academic fields.
This non-clinical (observational) program provides participants with in-depth exposure to pediatric dental practice, including outpatient care, behavior guidance, sedation, and management of children with medical complexities. - Curriculum Components
- Observation of pediatric dental outpatient care and sedation procedures
- Participation in the care of special needs patients and observation of sedation/general anesthesia surgeries
- Case-based learning in patient-centered treatment planning
- Introduction to research topics and published case examples
- Participation in Regular Seminars
- Regular case conferences (sharing concepts, treatment approaches, prognoses, and the latest insights on various cases encountered in pediatric dental practice)
- Advanced pediatric dentistry seminars (e.g., sedation techniques, pediatric orthodontics)
- Reading and discussion of recent scientific literature
- Clinical Observation Plan
- Provision of scheduled observation opportunities in faculty clinics and operating rooms
- Coordination of schedules for observation of specific procedures(e.g., treatment under general anesthesia, behavior management, care for special needs patients)

- Applicants will be reviewed internally, and selected candidates will be contacted individually.

Tuition
- Domestic Participants(except Korea dentist license holder) : KRW 2,500,000 or more per month
- International Participants : USD 2,000 or more per month
