Advanced General Dentistry(Preceptorship)
Program Overview
The Department of Advanced General Dentistry at Yonsei University Dental Hospital was established in 2006 as the first of its kind in Korea. Today, it has built an independent and innovative clinical system as a specialized department. This Preceptorship Program offers a unique opportunity to observe comprehensive dental care for a diverse patient population and to gain in-depth knowledge of the department’s exclusive educational seminars and research fields.

Program Details
Duration
- Domestic Dentists : 1 month
- International Dentists : Choice of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year
Tuition Fees
- Domestic Dentists : KRW 3,000,000 per month
- International Dentists : USD 2,500 per month
Fees may be subject to adjustment based on the duration and the applicant’s qualifications.
Curriculum
- Clinical observation at the AGD outpatient clinic.
- Observation of initial examinations and follow-up treatments for patients with systemic diseases.
- Observation of dental treatments under conscious sedation and general anesthesia (including Day Surgery Unit and Operating Room).
- Observation of dental care for patients with disabilities at the Dental Care Center for Persons with special needs.
- Attendance at comprehensive dental case presentations.
- Attendance at educational seminars on systemic diseases.
- Complimentary registration and attendance at the Korean Academy of Advanced General Dentistry (KAAGD) conferences or academic meetings.
- Attendance at graduate research meetings and thesis presentations.
Note : Participation in certain observations or seminars may be limited depending on department’s circumstances. Outpatient clinic observation(08:30–12:30, 13:30–17:30) is a mandatory part of the curriculum.

Admission Process
Eligibility
- Licensed dentists(both domestic and international).

Selection Procedure
- Document Review : Results will be notified after AGD faculty review
- Interview : Successful applicants from the document review will be interviewed by the AGD faculty.
- Final Notification : Individual notification of the final decision.
